Hi I just passed the entry test to become a Unassigned Apprentice Lineman for Georgia Power, and wanted to know what to expect, and how the working conditions are. How is the journeyman program settup as well as starting pay, etc. I look on the IBEW website for some contract info, but to no avial. Thanks guys, I hope I get on, I really think I will enjoy being a lineman, I heard the people are like a brotherhood~unlike aircraft mechanics who gladly walk across picket lines to scab for low wal-mart wages ei: NorthWest Airlines right now! Want to leave aviation and all the corrupt mismanagement and backstabbers, I hope Georgia Power is Less corrupt than Northwest and Delta! Thanks guys,

how was the test?
which one was it that they give?
what kind of stuff do they ask on it?

Like is it a true skills test or is it a psychology test or both?

thanks for any help you can give me

Congrats, on passing your test with Georgia, It's will be a good place to work. I work for Alabama Power, we have a great training program, you can start off as a helper in the line crew and progress to lead lineman. You don't have alot of BS.
