Hi Friends ,
We normally operate 11 KV switching panels ( breakers and isolators). What is the chance that a person operating the same may get a shock due to a fault occuring in the connected feeder at the same instant ? Panels are SF6 gas filled.

That's why you check the equipment ground before you touch or operate anything. You can't beat SF6 for insulation and closing in on a fault is what they're designed to handle.

is fully charged (should be an indicator somewhere on the switch) the chances are real slim, like next to 0 that that would happen. You may have more of a chance of total breaker failure (explosion) than the panel SF6 switch failing.
