Welllllll....Theres plenty more people on here that can answer your question a hell of a lot better than me, but from what I know brother find out what the closest IBEW Local is to you, and you should be able to talk to their Business Agent about organizing. JohnB or one of the many other guys on here should be able to answer ya in more detail though brother!

Good luck, and know it will not be easy, but the payoff will be well worth it.

Get a feel for how many yer numbers are.... Needs to be over half, then form a workmans comittee and contact the local in your jurisdiction. Like John said theres gonna be lottsa turbulence from yer employer Cause it aint in their best interests even if it is in yours, The future benefits and working conditions will far outweigh sitting idly bye.

Early to bed, Early to rise, ORGANIZE, ORGANIZE, ORGANIZE!!!
But it takes balls to organize, that's why there are so many rat contractors. It isnt talked about much here, but rat companys spend big bucks to keep unions out. They hire union avoidance firms who specialize in tactics that are illegal, and very hard to prove at the NLRB. Ask anyone who works for Exelon, who uses the Burke group, what it's like.....
There's a book by Martin J. Levitt; "Confessions of a Union buster", it's a must read if you are interested in organizing.
Union avoidance tactics are despicable, and the people who make millions of $$ doing employing those tactics are scum, the scum of the earth....
But if you have balls, you can organize any employer. Go for it, go to IBEW.org and check the homepage.http://ibew.org/
BTW, heres a link to the Burke groups site, theyre proud of themselves, but in the end, when it's all said and done, they'll rot in hell......http://www.tbglabor.com/

Its been a few years since I read that book but it contains some pretty wild tactics that have been employed by Union Busters over the years.
Well worth the read. Anyone wanting to organize definitely should read this book to learn what to expect.

Look you gotta have the support of your co-workers.
That Fu$kin rat that ran and told boss man is exactly the type of Rat I have been talkin bout since I started postin.
They are gonna pressure you, threaten you, but by law they cannot stop you from organizing.
But those Rats that kiss that ass are gonna sell you down the Fu$kin River, cause like I said before they like it the way it is.
But hey feel sorry for those Ratty Fu$ks all you want, they are what they are, and you so called Union Brothers know it.
Kiss my Union Lovin ass and pick a side.

told ya there wud be turbulence from management, and shudda told ya that one of yer own would rat you out as the ringleader.Only thing left for you to do now is figger who is with you and have one of them carry the ball for a few days n then pass it off to another n then another. Also let the folks at the local know about the threat to you, I bleve once they become involved they can shield ya unless you give the company just cause, Like breaking a rule or laying off work etc.But fully expect yer very first misteak will be dealt with in a heavy handed manner. It boils down to the basics risk versus rewards.

I am with JB on this issue. Stand your ground as a group. Do not let the employer trample on or threaten you for doing what is your legal right. Get the local hall to give you guidance and support. Going union is the most rewarding thing you can do for yourself, your brothers and your family. Remember this though, you will get good money and benefiets, in return you will owe yourself, your union and your employer SAFE QAULITY PRODUCTION. It is a contract and both sides are requried to live by that contract. Going union was one the best things I have ever done for myself and family.
