EAST AMWELL — A utility worker was fighting for his life Wednesday afternoon after being zapped by a power line on Cider Mill Road, authorities said.
The 35-year-old man was described as a Comcast subcontractor employee who was working on cables when he made contact with the power line at about 12:25 p.m., State Police Sgt. Adam Grossman said.
State Police, which provides police services for the township, did not identify the worker but said he was from Hellertown, Pa.
East Amwell EMS took the worker to Hunterdon Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition, Grossman said.
The subcontractor was performing work on a private driveway on Cider Mill, a rural road near Amwell Road.

"Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity."
These comcast accidents,is it secondary or primary voltages involved....wonder if the workers even know the difference. And wonder what their safety dept. has to say about safe distances from our lines.
