Havnt been on awhile coz I've been quite busy. We are finishing a refurbishment of a line while at the same time trying to keep motivated because our company finishes on the 15th of January.its like trying to work with one Hand tied behind your back. They are off hireing all our equipment " vans , vehicles " etc etc.
its like trying to juggle. WE WANT TO DO THE BEST JOB POSSIBLE ( as all linemen do ) but moral is very very low.and not having the usual equipment is making life very stressful.
We are in the middle of a shutdown and we have to keep stopping to attend meetings..plus we are losing men to other company's ..
We have plenty of job offers so no long term worries.
BUT ITS LIKE MOVING HOUSE " again". . It can get very draining with the job,the traveling back and forward to Ireland, plus Christmas approaching.
Very glad I don't Drink..coz I'd hit the bottle to try an " switch off from it all ".
Oh well ..at least I've my health.. " cough ,cough, splutter. ".

You know, that big ole line truck would look better if it had traffic cones on it.Does the heater in it even work?

I once drove a truck like that a few times for a certain contractor. It was a standard transmission, the transmission stick was a pipe.No handle.....that truck was hard to shift, even a handle wouldnt have mattered. But it got us from point a to point b

Just about gets to B... Wouldn't risk trying to get as far as C.
