    Default Mmm

Ive drilled led a few. " quite a few years ago. "But we drilled most of them on the ground with a magnetic drill.
I also punched some towers out with a hydraulic press with a special head.. ( it could punch s hole in 3/4 inch steel. )
IF IT WASN'T FOR BAD LUCK WE WOULD HAVE NO LUCK AT ALL. !

I have used that Irwin bit to drill out steel x-arms. It worked well going slow and cooling it with some kind of oil.

REALLY interesting. Never, had to do that...EVER. I actually thought that "Banding" was the thing on Steel Poles. When ya needed to... do "Extra" siht.... Why would anybody "Drill" a steel pole?....when there are Banding options... for "alternative...Steel pole drilling " Just sayin....

Drill chill and Turbo Bits. Or pilot hole and the uni bit. Distribution type steel poles. Magnetic Drill for heavy poles.
The carbon cutter bits come with a pilot bit and works good in a hand drill but it is tough to have a steady hand and are easily broken when put in a bind. They are amazing though, they will still cut a hole with a partial bit.
