Any comments on these, looks like a mix match of 2x4's and 2x6's glued together, square. I have seen pics of a few of these that have broke. Dont look good

Default Keep the wood round or put in steel......

Climable, yea, practical out of the hooks, no, most of these stuctures I have work on are for dead ends or angles, and are designed to be guyless, on the transmission stuctures you need a crane to set them, elevators to work them practically.

I would rather see steel, but if you have the proper equipment to work them, and the locaction is accessible, alright.

I would like to see some one climb it with a bucksqueeze.

    Unhappy Lam Poles

Doing a job in Maine where we are using them on 115KV new line. Two broke at the base when we pulled 795 wire. One was a 95' and the other was a 90'. This is my first job with them, I am not impressed at all. We are waiting the results of the manufacture's comments after they examine the poles.

We heard about that the other day. I'm glad to hear no one got hurt. It's nice to have 104 in state. Stay safe I hope the rest of the job goes well, and that you guys beat out Cianbro on the Woodstock job.
