Del Tech Utility Jobs Are For Possible Strike @ Local 499 & 109 Iowa Illinois

This is in response to the speculation at what Utility these jobs are going to be for. The company is Mid American Energy in Iowa and Illinois. The company has operations in the Quad Cities, Moline, Rock Island if anyone was wondering where in Illinois this company has Utility workers.

It appears the company is playing hardball and have hired an outside hiring agency to try to get enough workers to generate electricity maintain read meters etc, also as well as on the natural gas side.

Should be pretty interesting to see how that goes.

Any suggestions on how to get our local news media involved in this contract dispute?

Would be very interesting to see how this company would handle this kind of media circus.

Email or call editors of newspapers, and call the local news stations. Once most find out a strike will be near or is happening, they will pick the story up and give updates if the Union or Company is talking. Take in mind they'll play both sides as well, putting out stories of how the company is treating you wrong and how the employees is asking for "too much" as they always say. Good luck!
