  1. Default Ibew Local 499 Officers Wages Vs Lineman's Wages No Overtime Base Salary

Well Since Were In Contract Talks And Our Union Leaders Are About To Recommend a Package That Freezes Pensions, and Medical Coverage is Changed from 90,10 to 80,20 I Thought I Would Throw Up These Comparisons Up.

Since We Have Some At The Local Who Don't Have a Problem giving all Away, I felt I would lay this out for all that give it their all each and everyday, and no where makes the money they make.

Also What I found Interesting About This Is How Much They Are paying the company for their Defined Benefit Plan. Please look at it carefully. They are giving the company $14,000 dollars for retirement. We do not as regular union people pay the company for the pension. And when we did it wasn't nowhere near $14,000 cash. Very Interesting

    Thumbs down

Weevy you are a piece of SCAB work. If you think by posting your Union's officers and staff's wages is going to further your own personal agenda, you are sadly mistaken. You are not impressing anyone but yourself. The information you posted can be obtained by anyone with half a brain as it is a matter of public record. Furthermore, as anyone who is capable of thinking for themselves knows, those are salarys. Divide the extra minimum 1000 unpaid hours a year you have to work as a business manager or rep, and those yearly salaries are not much more than your JL rates.

You have no clue about negotiating a contract. You are a gutless, whining neutered piece o shit that does NOT deserve representation by ANY labor organization.

Just because a negotiating committee recommends a package, does not in any way mean that it should be voted in by the members. Your membership should be intellegent enough and have the nads to stand up and vote down a bad package recommended or not. If their not...then bend over and take it and tell the Company...oh please can I have some more.
    Get off my cloud.

Default In response to your PMs WEEVY

If your so "out in the open" as you claim...why dont you post your response to me on this thread instead of PM ing me? Or shall I do it for you? It doesnt matter anyway..Ive read your posts and know your "agenda" And by the way, how bout posting a profile? I'll decide whether or not you deserve a response then. Most likely not

THIS IS FOR SBATTS, AS FAR AS YOUR COMMENTS GO.

    1. ONCE AGAIN YOU HAVE GIVEN ME NOTHING. YOUR COMMENTS LACK SUBSTANCE.

    2. I DON'T GIVE A DAMN WHAT YOU HAVE DONE, WHERE YOU HAVE BEEN, OR WHAT YOU ARE DOING NOW. YOU DON'T HAVE A CLUE OF WHAT IS GOING ON HERE. YOU HAVE RECEIVED, AND ARE ENJOYING WHAT YOUR BROTHERS IN THE LAST CENTURY OBTAINED FOR YOU I.E. MEDICAL BENEFITS, COMFORTABLE INCOME AFTER RETIREMENT, YOUR TYPE ARE SELLING US DOWN THE RIVER, THAT IS THE AGE MENTALITY.

3.YOU TALK THE TALK THAT YOU ARE A GOOD UNION MAN, BUT I HAVE TO SURMISE THAT YOU REALLY AREN'T A GOOD UNION MAN, AND THE REASON I STATE THAT IS BECAUSE YOU STILL HAVEN'T ANSWERED THE QUESTION WHAT IS A UNION ABOUT?

4.HERE IS THE DEFINITION OF UNIONISM:an organized attempt by workers to improve their status by united action (particularly via labor unions) or the leaders of this movement. FOR ALL WORKERS.

    5. THE ABOVE DOESN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THOSE OF A CERTAIN AGE GROUP ARE MORE ENTITLED THAN SOMEONE ELSE WHO ISN'T OF THAT AGE GROUP. WHERE DOES THAT TYPE OF MENTALITY COME FROM? I WOULD VENTURE TO SAY THE UNION NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE, THAT'S WHO HAS TO RECOMMEND THE PACKAGE. ISN'T THAT HOW IT TYPICALLY WORKS IN THE UNION?

    6. IN REGARDS TO YOUR OTHER STATEMENT, I LIKE IT HOW PEOPLE LIKE YOU BOAST ABOUT HOW GREAT A UNION PERSON YOU WERE, YOU WERE PROBABLY ONLY GREAT AS LONG AS YOU WERE GETTING WHAT YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE ENTITLED TO BEING A MEMBER OF A UNION. I BET YOU WOULD'VE SUNG A DIFFERENT TUNE AND WOULD BE SINGING A DIFFERENT TUNE IF YOU LOSE WHAT YOU HAVE NOW

7.YOU WERE PROBABLY A GOOD UNION MAN BECAUSE YOU WERE PROBABLY PART OF THE GOOD OLE BOY CLUB.
