work in Australia???

I am new here, but have been reading for a while. Does
anyone have any info on work, companies, pay etc in Australia??
I have heard that the western states have some work, but thats
about it. Just got back from Alaska, took their state test, and
work looks pretty good up there, but Washington State looks
horrible right now. I think 55 guys on book one, and not moving
at all. I think most of the west coast is slow as far as I can see.
