He was a drinkin' cussin' fightin' workin' man, and wouldn't let anyone say different. He loved linework and his brothers. He will be missed.

That wasn't very tactful.
He may have been working hard and drifted off at the wheel, may have taken ill suddenly or perhaps mechanical failure or another driver was responsible.Portable defibrillators were first invented to save the lives of linemen. Where's yours?

To the OP. I do not know you personally, but I do know what your going through, and the hardest thing in life (for me at least) is to watch a friend or loved one go on before you. I am sorry for your loss, it sounds like he will be missed by many..
