Looks like the 2009 World Championship Lineman's Rodeo will be on this year (thankfully). We are moving away from Bossier City/Shreveport Louisiana this year. I cant give out all the details just yet but we'll be in the Nation's Heartland.

Been waiting a while for this one. If anyone has ever wanted to rodeo or get back into rodeoing, now is the time. The WCLR gets better every year with great prizes and no entry fees. If you got a team or just want to compete in the individual j-man or both, all you gotta do is get signed up and show up. If your an APE and want to compete you don't have a test or the CPR to worry about, just the hurtman, speed climb, and 2 mystery events.
Well we cant say due to privacy issues but we have them coming from the Far West to Illinois I know.
Make sure to sign up ASAP. It helps us get sponsors/vendors who help us keep this rodeo free. We'd rather you fill out a form and not show up than send it in late or not at all....
We now have a "WCLR HALL OF FAME" link up with the top 5 times at our rodeos in the Journeyman and Apprentice Individual Hurtman and Pole Climb, Bell Run, and the Team Hurtman and Pole Climb. I think I have all the names right and if one is wrong let me know. One of the members on this board has alot of the records (I wont give his name up).
Our new Facebook page has a practice video of Jason Novak out of IBEW Local 702 doing a 13.3 Pole Climb and a 41 second hurtman. I'd love to get a pot started to see who could safely put up the fastest numbers on video no matter where its done at. Maybe after the rodeo we could raise the cash to do it, but make sure its done safely as well with no gigs (could be judged by 5 judges online who would be totally non-biased). Just a thought.
Make sure those apps get turned in! March 3rd is quickly approaching and we want any and everyone to compete. I've heard from guys already coming that have never competed to the regular circuit guys you hear from at KC. Like I told one guy if this is your FIRST rodeo dont let that scare you off. We'll help you out even if we have to walk you to your next event to helping out any other way we can. We want everyone to compete at each station and have a fun and safe day most of all. We also have time to trade shirts and most years we run video taken from the day in the background during the awards ceremony. If I can help anyone in anyway just give me a call, email, or pm!
We'll be bringing a couple teams and an app. Can't wait...great competition!! If you are going to hit one rodeo this year...this is it!! Great event, awesome prizes and even better people. Giddy-UP!!
