Just returned from the WCLR in Du Quion, IL., had a great time and the indoor facility was excellent. A little different looking up at a ceiling when doing linework but with the inclement weather it sure was nice to be inside. Alot of work went in to making this event a success, hats off to all the sponsors, vendors and volunteers. To all from L.U. 702 thanks for the hospitality. Already looking forward to 2011.

Also big ups for Arizona Public Service/IBEW Local 387 for winning the Team Overall, Jason Novak from IBEW Local 702 as the Overall Individual Journeyman and I forgot the Overall Apprentices name.

Also there were two runs that I was VERY impressed with. Jason Novak from IBEW Local 702 ran the Hurtman in 48.78 seconds which broke his old WCLR record.

And the other run was by the Arizona Public Service/IBEW Local 387 boys (Brian Wheeler, Toby Claude, and Jason Houle.....I think I have that last name right) ran the Hurtman Energized Mystery Event in 1:15 That was a 3 phase line with a crossarm, neurtral and pot with switch, and a triplex pulloff with the dummy just at the transformer. The groundman had to kill the pot by pulling the switch with an extendo stick, then both climbers had to go up and keep the 170lbs. dummy off the pole and get him down safely. One minute and fifteen seconds is IMPRESSIVE!

It was a pleasure watching Brian, Toby, and Jason running this event! These guys have it together and are great people too!! It was Great seeing you guys again and enjoyed visiting with ya!

Josh (aka Crip) A little correction.the pole was single phase, not 3 phase, the phase on a ridgepin, not crossarm.............either way, these guys made it look easy!!!!

Contact Local 702. They have all control now I do believe. It was good to see you guys there though!

And Trbl you are right on the energized deadman, but that 1:15 time was one of the best runs I've ever seen at any rodeo period. If I would have been filming instead of talking to the APS judge (that was not judging them BTW) or I could have showed everyone.
