Does anyone have any language in their contract that states when bargaining unit employees shall be paid?

    Thanks.

Hey RC I remember LU 17 had a clause that stated the company WILL pay you by 4pm Friday or pay you straight time until they do! Usually if there was a problem they'd cut us a check right away! Not sure if they still have that?

I went through 17's contract and I didn't see it! Found a couple that have some language. It's happened a couple of times now where friday came around and the rank and file had no pay!!

876 has to pay by quiting time too...or pay 1.5 until the checks show up. 876contractors are supposed to settle the day they lay off also... but Henkles and McCoy seemed to ignore that when they were in Flint a couple of years ago.

If you work for a big utility and they ask for bi weekly payroll ... don't fight it. But ask for something in return.

Processing a check (from start to balancing the bank account later) costs over $50 in administrative for most companies... writing payroll 26 times a year reduces those costs by half. Direct deposit is an administrative money saver too.

Can't remember if it was in our language or not, but we were paid bi-weekly..........

One time, we were iced/snowed in and a courier service picked the checks up in Memphis, was working in Marion, Ar, right across the river......the courier made it too Forrest City.........driving within 2 miles of our yard........delivered the checks to Forrest City, but said it was too bad to get to Marion............a supv drove over to get the checks the next day...we got paid nothing extra
