    Question Rodeo events

    Featured Sponsor

Looking for some new events for our rodeo. Please let me know what kind of events you have for Journeyman. We are looking for 1 sticking task and 1 gloving task. As we all know hurt man and speed climb are standard, and always good. Need something other than crossarm change and over arm jumper. Thanks for your help.

Energized Hurt Man Rescue with a pot, switch, and about 3-4 drops or open wire secondary.

    Thumbs up

I said something like that for this year but our rodeo committee is set in their ways. I am trying to get on the committee for next year, if I do I will push for that. Thanks

    Default CrossArm Construction

I participated in 2 collegiate level rodeos and we had a cross arm construction event done on the ground. The pole was raised, you setup all your material on a tarp for 3phase construction (arm pins, insulators, and braces with a lag but we didnt have to nail it in), pole top with insulator and an upset bolt. It gets pretty interesting and a lot of fun to do. We were penalized for not having washers straight and for nuts not being tight. I hope this helps.

In the Lineman Rodeo's do they have anything you can do and keep up if you have to use a bucksqueeze ? We have to wear them where I work. I just wanted to know if there is anything you can enter and keep up with those who don't have to use one

Hope this helps I've been competing for 3 years now only the tvppa rodeo though I can say they are a few teams that compete with the buckqueeze and they are dang good with them I think the reason they compete with them is they will probably mandate the buckqueeze eventually I hope they don't but I would have to say that they are very competitive guys and they always do good!!

I would suggest building a 13.2 bank...or just wiring one up,the primary and secondary sides....but Id better not cause they may say it takes too long...and they might not build many anymore....but I wont....thank out of the box on this one.....Personally I hope they got rid of the stupid egg event........I mean whats with the egg event....is it breakfast time?
