All I've ever done with all my boots is just wear them. Some say oil em up, some say soak them in water and wear them to their dry.

I heard wear them in the shower with warm water to soak them, then wear them until almost dry if possible...

Why not break them in on the wood?

    Climb in em.

Just some advise... as much as those (or any good climbing boot costs) save those for pole work. If you use em in the mud and sand they won't last very long.

I flat wore out one pair of climbing boots when I was apprenticed... got those rebuilt. I've kept a "new" pair of WESCOS for over 20 years now just for climbing... bet I've worn out 15 pairs of "work" boots in the same time.

Put'em on, lace'um up and grin and bare it. When you can't bare it no more put on your old pair that you brought to work with you just in case.
