YESTERDAY THE BRASS AT ABC NEWS ISSUED ORDERS FORBIDDING
REPORTERS TO WEAR LAPEL PIN AMERICAN FLAGS OR OTHER PATRIOTIC INSIGNIA.
THEIR REASONING WAS THAT ABC SHOULD REMAIN NEUTRAL ABOUT 'CAUSES'.
SINCE WHEN IS PATRIOTISM TO BE DISCOURAGED?
I URGE YOU TO BOYCOTT ABC AND ITS SPONSORS AND AFFILIATES.
WE ARE SLOWLY LOSING EVERYTHING OUR COUNTRY STANDS FOR AND
EVERYTHING OUR MEN AND WOMEN FOUGHT AND DIED TO PRESERVE!

I dont know.... To me, if you're IN this country, you should be RESPECTFUL of our culture/society. Maybe I was just raised differently. Do I expect the media in Switzerland to remove any advertisement of their flag/culture simply because I may find it 'offensive?'

I agree with you 100% over hear people will sometimes call you a racist after you have stated some facts through observation that they cannot deny, and at that point you become a racist and once you are called that in a discussion over hear you have no more defense, it's sad. I read about some Australian politician a while back that gave a speech and told all the people who were complaining about the way things were over there to go back to their homeland and not try to change Australia, I just can't think of his name right now.
I wonder if that means ABC will ask President Obama to remove his "US flag lapel pin" he always has on every time they pander to him on tv, so as to "Honor" their no flag lapel pin rule...?

I thought this was actually an issue.......it seems it has been a common practice amongst all networks......the directive was enforced right after 9/11.......old stuff.....no new anti American conspiracy theory.
