Looking For some help on this one...i was just laid off from So Cal Edison..I was a meter reader
and because of smart connect meters now im not.. ive been on a waiting list for a powerline mechanic climbing school in east LA for 19 months and just got an invitation to attend next month..
sounds good right? well, i also got called from at&t...witch i had applied for months back, i interviewed and got the job, i start at the end of this month. Default AT&t or Linework?

im an apprentice in Cal/Nev. I waited for a long time and quit a very good job to go to NLC, now a 5th step apprentice, if you got a family its definitely a tougher choice, but my grunt was a at&t lineman and topped out at like 25 an hour, good money but not linework money, journeyman lineman make 47 and change an hour, 1st steps and grunts make more to START than at&t lineman will ever make, so, with that being said, i have a family now and would do it all over again, definitley persue your dream of being a lineman.
