That's me on the left. Putting the jumpers back the way they were. Moved them so we could isolate a section of line. You will obviously note the angles the wires are coming off the pole. Quite STEEP moubtain slope.

"Loch lomand in the back ground". (It didn't rain. YAHOO! )

Good eyes reppy... Yeah belt around B phase. Back lanyard on the steel work .

It was a long way out to where I had to make off the jumper. AND I DO LIKE TO BE AS CLOSE MY WORK AS POSSIBLE. ( At my age can't be doing with all that stretching out full length)

Questions questions.. . Top wire is 70mm and the bottom wire is 32mm( dunno what thst is in imperial). The line is 11kv.... We don't use stirrups or hotline clamps. Two poles to the right of us is a switch and 10 poles to the left is a switch. The T off from the main line (small wire) goes down hill to a transformer ,feeding a farm.. And up the hill to a phonemast.
To isolate the line on the left of where we are we had to open both switches and remove the jumpers feeding the main line to the left of the pole we are on making a open point. The jumpers feeding the farm and phone mast had to be repositioned so they were all jumperd to the right. ( The live side) we left an earth (ground) on the line to the left where we were working. Came down. Closed the switch on the pole to the left. Result.! The line to the left of this pole was dead . And the farm and phone mast were back on line.(Live) ...

Took longer to write this than actually do the job. "Phew ! "

Hope that makes sense to you guys. I know ya don't do much stuff like this. Over THERE. ( I don't think ya do anyway ). ?????????

"All typed on a blackberry". Numb finers now. THANKS reppy
