Happy Fathers Day to all the other Dads out there, I'm heading out the door to compete in a John C Garand M1 Rifle match, something I enjoy doing immensly. I hope you all spend the day doing whatever it is that you enjoy doing!!!!!

I hear that m1 is a nice rifle, never shot one though, what kind of range do they have, give us some history......I used to be considered an expert, thats when my eyes were better.I loved to be on the rifle range....Fort Knox had some of the best, one was ,my favorite......it wasnt a flat range...had valleys and all.

    Have fun Georgie!

The Boss only requested that I make his favorite dish. So, he is chilling out watching his fishing shows this morning. Our boat is in the process of being purchased, so he is been looking for another one. Anyone see a Fastcat for sale, let me know!

    Happy Fathers Day guys!

Maximum effective range is 440 yds. A good rifleman will be accurate out to 800 to 1000 yds. I shoot NRA Highpower competitions with an Ar 15 but my favorite rifle to compete with is the M1. In the words of Gen. George Patton the M1 is the "The greatest battle implement ever devised."-- ......

My brother-in-law used to belong to a club in Munising, MI that shot Garands at 1000 yards. He was able to by a govt. surplus Garand through that program 20 years ago or so.
I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce.
