pleaes se my picts as promised,you will need to look at them in my profile page tho,not quite sure how to post in the forum page:(.details are,height 405ft,span length 4574ft,crosses loch long near dunoon and lands near faslane on a 297ft tower

We worked all around there when we were in Scotland.. We stayed in Dunoon. Lochgilphead , tyndrum, etc etc.
I realised who ya work for now. ( DAVEY TURNBUL ). Ring a bell ?
That towers well rot. But what have ya against birds landing on it ?

these bird scarers where actually put on 6 towers that run close to the local tip & the dno who we are working for thought this would help coz the line has a habit of unexplained trips,we changing all the insulators & the earth conductor to see if this helps,the existing earth dosent jumper straight through it just stops at each section.i have never seen this before so i think i will need to ask why this was done?

If the earths are not tied thru then there may be a potential difference between them and that may be part of the problem. Is that salt water in the distance? Could have something to do with corrosion too. Besides having unexplained outages how else would you find that damage up there before the deadends let loose and the wire comes down? Heli patrol?
