Re numbering poles today

Spent the day re numbering a welsh line today ..
Very warm muggy day. We are doing ten pole changes on the line next week ( and before ya ask.....NONE DONE HOT ). :)

The numbers mean. Area 09.... Line number. 14437. Pole number 90..
The number goes 3 mts up... Around 10 foot.

And because it's Wales we use bi lingual danger plates..

you weren't busy you could of slipped over to Essex and swapped a pole out for me on a farm.

Hole was perfect, pole was good but access was appalling. We couldn't get close enough with anything due to trees and buildings....

Spent three hours grunting and moaning to get the pole in and another three trying to get the spans back on it.

Long slip to Essex from Welshpool. :).

Sure that's why ya get the big bucks, We always seem to be doing outage work the few days before we go home. Prepping this week .outage starts Monday ..we travel home Wednesday .. It was twelve poles. Then they couldn't get the angle poles..so ten poles.then they can't get the 15 metere so it's down to nine. Two that we can't access. ..
Result. We've 7 inter poles to do in two days. ( I'm on a course on Monday ). " live line polling. ". So it's all fun and games. :)

It's probably planned that way because the management are thinking you'll be keen to get it cracked and back home...
