Hope you all had a great one guys!:D

We ate with Mom. Boss cooked the meat (venison, ham, turkey and boston butt). Yeah, as usual he gets carried away! :D

He is off fishing for red fish and trout this morning. They have been hitting them pretty good for the last 3 weeks.

Is everyone okay? Kinda quiet in here....

Made everyone take it all home with them! We did have some of the Boston Butt last night. The Boss put BBQ on it. I made cole slaw to go with it. Yeah, I'm pretty sick of it now! At least he has ham sandwiches for this coming week! :D

I MUST ask, 'Boston Butt'? What is it?

Anyway we went north to my bro-inlaws 'camp' this year. Then the bride and her sister get this idea that we are all going to a local church and 'volunteer' to serve a thanksgiving meal. I'm thinking we are?
Off we go to a all saints church in Wolfboro, N.H. and we learn they fed 478 people last year with all donated food and volunteer help! Most of the meals were to-go because it's mostly shut ins and nursing homes.
Well I had a blast and met some of the nicest people around! And yes I'll do it again next year!

Thanks for the info... Without sounding like Reppy, Why do they call it Boston Butt? Cause people from up North can afford a real ham off of hogs hind quarter, down here in the South we have to eat his shoulder, so they named it a Boston Butt to make us feel better.:D:D:D:D

Now its nearly time to hang some christmas lights, anyone looking forward to that and the other things that go with the holidays? Then comes the new year ,the older I get the faster the years go by it seems....hell,it seems like yesterday when the year 2000 arrived and planes were susposed to fall out of the sky/computers were not going to work ,and some people thought the world was going to end....back in the 70s nobody could vision 2014 and now here we are with stupid people controlling the government and crime higher than ever .....the hippies might have been right ,smoke a joint and all that love stuff, peace and all that crap :D

It is all interesting. How things...."come around". Use to "toke a bit", back in the 60's and 70's. We ALL Knew there was NOTHING wrong with Grass back then.

Fast Forward...2013...It's Amazing to watch!!! "Medical GRASS"!!:D

Here's a Hoot....My wife just bought a quarter pound of "Hulled Hemp seeds" today at "Whole Foods"!!! $21.95 a pound. Talk about "Health Benefits"!!!!

http://www.healing-source.com/health_benefits_b.htm

Who would have thunk it, Right?

Back when we were just burnin a joint and havin a good time. And never knew...it was good Stuff.

"HISTORY" though...has the real story of Hemp and Marijuana.

Hehehehe.....

Thanks for explaining this all to the guys Charlie! :D I had no idea most didn't know. But, it was because it was the "upper" northern part of the hog. Like in the upper region of a place called Boston. See? We still include you northern dudes in our dishes! :D

And pigs are little Rob. You wouldn't call your Harley a pig! Now wouldchya? :D

Hey Charlie!! Pops retired last Friday. Did you go to his retirement party? The Boss is having one here at the house for him this Saturday.

I thought only the rich people could afford "eating high off the hog" least that's how I heard it. Didn't matter north or south.

I didn't know he was retiring, I rarely see those guys, but I'm happy for him. I've been hearing a rumor about a buyout offer on our side, if that happens there will probably be a lot of us getting out.

If your company offers a buyout, take it and RUN out the door, don't walk, RUN! It's the best move I ever did!

You know we have the option to retire after 20 years of service with 2% multiplier for every year worked, so you start out with 40% of your best consecutive 36 months including your overtime and it goes up 2% a year for every year after 20, at least thats what us guys who have been there for a long while get, some of the newer hires are on a different retirement deal, I think it's a 30 year deal with a 1.75% multiplier. I"ll have 27 years in February 2014, so I'm just waiting to see what happens with the buyout talk. I can always get another job, but I've been wanting a reason to spend some time over at my place in Keaton Beach but I'm afraid I'll get sorry and won't want to go back to work.:D:D
