With more states making pot legal how would the trade deal with it.I have no problem with a guy smoking a little weed,but working beside him is a different story.How would this all work since the drug stays in your system for days or weeks.How would most companies deal with it and would you be ok with it since it would be legal in your state.

Well Rep, it's kinda easy...... Is alcohol legal in your state?? Yes, I presume it is...... What happens if you're tested and blow higher then the limit? Do you stay on the job cuz it's legal, or are you put off the property..........?

I see what your saying,but that (if) could be also an if not tested you remain on the property.....is that also the case in your state?

We've had some guys fail a BAC test in the A.M. Stayed up a little too late drinking. A guy could smoke a joint and a week later fail the test since it stays in your system much longer.

I think most companies would just ban it. That would be the easiest way out.

You cant ban things that are legal,but like alcohol...if tested positive you could be walking out of the gate.

Most if not all the states that have "legalized" pot have made it medicinal only you need a prescription for it. I believe the real catch is CDL rules by the fed that make it an illegal drug and they are the ones you have to follow not state law.

Are rules state that we can be randomly drug tested at any time.. If it's positive you CAN BE SACKED.

Just put this into the mix...
If I need to be tested to work And pay tax

Should the recipient of my tax ( benefits or unemployed ) get my money without being tested aswell...
Don't seem right that I've to be tested to pay tax but the recipient can be using drugs sitting on their @rse.. But not tested.
Also " WHAT ABOUT RASTAFERIAN LINEMEN..." I've known a few rasta linemen over the years. " especially in New zealand".

My few cents worth.. :)

Could get...."Extremely Complicated".
Even if approved for medicinal pot, and ya only smoke it after work, for your "situation"....if you get into an accident AT work the next day, even though you haven't smoked a joint since last night....and I'm sure we all know...the "Effect" only lasts a couple hours....you're still gonna test positive for Pot.

Yup...It's gonna get EXTREMELY Complicated. I sure loved Linework. Awful Glad....I ain't in it in This day and age......
