Alabama GOP Sen. Jeff Sessions filed an amendment late Monday to restore money that was cut from veteran and military retiree pension benefits by closing a loophole that allowed illegal immigrants to qualify for child tax credits.

What is our congress and this administration doing to America?? What is not understood about ILLEGAL????

How could they CUT from our veterans and military retiree's to give money to ILLEGAL'S to pass a budget??? !!!

I have to agree with Rob, the whole thing is broke!! Both parties are to blame and the pathetic thing is we keep putting these incompetent, pandering, slime balls back in office, here in jersey, we can no way get the scum out...... Lautenberg dies and we get worse with Corry Booker, and Rob Menendez is someone who makes me want to throw up......

Well, I partially agree, yes the man on the street is stupid...... But when the electorate figures out if it votes in the right people, those right people will reward the electorate with subsidy dollars in the form of social programs, those politicians keep getting elected and that portion of the electorate keeps getting the dollars....... They ain't that stupid, and unfortunately, we've been there a while.......

I've always said, if you had to pass a basic Goverment test before you could vote, the country would be much better off.

That could go along way Duck! Maybe even a test to become a parent. Just one question on the test; Please explain how you will pay for your child's welfare..... How about a test for welfare/gov't support. We'll make it easy. You don't have to say a word, Just pass a drug test. A test to collect unemployment.. Well at least question to see if they are searching for employment. I'd vote for the individual that promised half this stuff !!
