Most DEFINATELY PCB oil. I just love the ring of "Polychlorinated biphenyls". Heh, heh, heh.

Sorry Poot.. We been side tracked with the weather an all..
Soon as I get back there. I promise you will get your " plate picture".
And CLIVE.. I said it was older than me... I was born in 1962
the Tranny ( electrical ) ;) Is 1927.. I think that's pretty cool , that is still working...( even as stated that it's probably full of cancerous PCB,S ) .
I am assured the pole it was mounted on had been changed a few times...:D

Reckon ya get the prize Poot.
1927.. Even with my limited math that's been humming away for 87 years... So you've a lot in common..:D

I would but the postage would be quite prohibitive .. We are earning extra £££££,s coz of storm. BUT NOT THAT MUCH.

You should send it to your current transformer manufacturer and suggest they take it to bits to learn how to do their job properly.

That Google can be a tricky one, Clive... watch your self on there... hehe.
And Bren, very true on the postage... Probably cost about $75 U.S... Either way a good find!!! Id still turn it into a wall hanger myself... haha
On second thought... probably be a lot more than $75 U.S.... I wonder......
