Hi guy please look at Picts posted, these are the two types of crimpers that our company use,one is our usual BRITISH made and the other is a new demonstrator from some far off place that some of you may know:),now I was asked to try this new one(the red one b.t.w) on my recent faults adventure into Wales and how long do you think it lasted before it broke? 2nd day:confused:.i couldn't believe it so when I fone in about it I was told no wonder the company give a 5year warrant lol, I guess they don't build things like they used to in this strange far away place:D59675968596959705971

Agree Bren at least one of them should be skipped, but the wee blue one did alright, lighter+smaller!has safety cut off if your mid-span is not sitting correct to stop incorrect crimping but I supose that has to be expected because blue is the colour lol:D
Hey Paul... I'm no Burndy rep but they are popular over here and they do last. I have both a press and a pair of cutters. The cutters have had the blades replaced but other than that they are a reliable tool. The press is at least 5 years old.
Just a guess with the one's you were using, but if they were a loaner they may have been passed around some. 597759785979

Rob, are those your Personal Press and cutters?
I never actually OWNED any tools like that personally. The companys I worked for either had them or not.
The company bought em O.L.D... Not sure of exact cost but I know they are a few grand each.
