Im going to take it that by now most of you guys have seen the rescue,by helicopter.Ok,I just wanted to ask if any of you noticed anything that maybe should not have been done. The helicopter landed and within a couple of minutes ,it was gone.Look closely and state what you wouldnt have done if you were on the rescue team.I wont go into detail about the situation as a whole but I hope that when all is done they court martial the guy, cause in my opinion he is no hero and I strongly believe what his platoon members say about him,I mean hell, they know him best and were there.Washington and the news media didnt take long to make a hero out of a guy that his own platoon members say left his post.Last time I checked ,this was a serious issue....I rest my case.

Frisked him very near the bird, a little late for that, don't you think??
LZ was in a valley, perfect spot to get ambushed.......

I was waiting on you lbr....honestly,I knew that you were on the same page......Yea,why would they take that chance so close to the bird when they should know that they cant be trusted......why risk more lives and the bird when they know how those people are............great answer.....right on target.

If you watch they patted his chest and back for an explosive vest before they walked away from the Taliban guys. Just did a more complete pat down at chopper. Did you also notice the two guys on the sides didn't move their right hands when the Taliban wanted to shake hands at the beginning they brushed their left hands to the Taliban. Probably holding guns with their right hands. According to Wolf Blitzer the Army had four Apache choppers in the air watching the valley while the trade went down.

For some reason the rescue reminded me of the marine barracks ,where 400-500 marines died back in the 80s......they were sent as peace-keepers and thats not what they are trained for.....hell I heard that they werent even armed.......I mean the way that was set up,there was only one check-point before being inside.....why didnt they have 3 or more before the closest one......any type of warning is better than none.......We lost too many good guys that day for no good reason and I certainly wasnt trained that way.....but I assume they followed orders and did what they were told.....which make me ask .....who gave those ignorant orders and who ok-ed them:mad:
