I work at a small muni and I'm starting a training class on July 28th at a local utility. We wear FR pants and FR long sleeve, button up shirts at work, so I never owned FR t-shirts. I'm wondering what your company policies are at training sites, can you wear short sleeve FR shirts around training yards? Does most everyone buy long sleeve T's?

Since there is no local source to get this stuff, I have to get it on the internet before the class starts. Our other employees that did the class were in winter cycles and didn't have this issue. They bought long sleeve t's. I don't have a contact right now or the time to sit on this. Any ideas?

The training is standard pole top rescue, bucket rescue and live secondary techniques, de-energized primary techniques. Obviously, if I'm going to be outside for the month of August, I'd love to be able to wear short sleeves.

Thanks!

You're gonna be outside for the month of August whether you are training or are working on a crew and probably in your hot shirt, most outfits won't let you climb or work voltage in a short sleeve t-shirt, so for the portions of the training that require climbing and working voltage I would just wear the shirts that you have, the rest of the time wear a regular t-shirt, you'll have your hot shirt if you need it, I couldn't see them having a problem with that.

Sorry guys, we can't allow these kinds of posts... If we did, every vendor would be posting links when they should buy some advertising.. We have to pay the bills somehow and the advertisers sure help. We can't try to sell it if we give it away on the Forums!

So, please remove it for me would ya?
