It's offical. I'm now trailer trash. Moved in over the weekend.
Couldnt stay in the house with the Irish lads after what happened .
So its a bit of a strange set up. We are in caravans. But hey are in a big new barn. Wired up to the mains. Plus there is a shower block and sort of a field kitchen. See pics. So it shouldn't be too bad a winter compared to some I've spent... And a lot cheaper
any way it's one of the downsides of working as a lineman in a different country than the one YA live in...

It does have to be hard workin with guys...that basically cut your throat. I take it your trailer is just for Sleepin. Everything else is "communial". Too bad you can't cook in your trailer. That's the way I'd like it. Then just come out for work the next morning.....I was always like that anyway.....I'd be the one that stayed in the Hotel, while the other guys....basically went out and .....Had...supposed "Fun". Oh well. I LOVE your "Trailer Bren"!!

In Poots area they would be dream houses.I took a ride in his area months ago.And they save old half rotten poles for bridges that cross the ditches in their front yards. That whole area doesnt have to worry about any home owner associations............trust me.

Do do my own cooking in the trailer.. ;)
got a four ring gas cooker, a grill, and a microwave.
Plus my own fridge. .. But it's nice to sit and chill with the guys in the evening. ALL. GOOD. :)

So you're renting the trailer, what if you want to go for a little vacation can you hitch up the trailer and take it with you or does it have to stay put.

No chance of a vacation in the trailer... We rent them in the barn. And that's where they will stay.
1. I've no tow hitch on my Jaguar
2. Or my motto Guzzi .
Its just something to stay in while we are working. It will make the winter a bit more bearable being in side a barn.

Looks like nice accomodations. Is that an ice cream freezer in the dining area? Hope you don't need the fire extinguisher, is that for three alarm chili?
Stayed in the bunk trailers a few times. Semi trailer with eight cots end to end, three layers high, on both sides of the trailer, for a total of 48 linemen, 47 of them snoring like a freight train - I don't snore!

Yeah its a freezer from the shop down the road. " ice cream freezer" :) but it works well. And we've two fire extinguishers in each van...plus that one in the picture.
And I am reliably informed that's " IM A SNORER ".
Enjoying being here.. Long may it last.

I have no doubt that you wont be staying in the trailer for long, you should get an award for most places worked.By the time you get used to the bed bugs you will be off to another company.....but since you move around so much, whats the chance of going back to a job that you have worked for again?Lets say like the one with the toilet problems.....remember that one:D:D:D.

I might return to many jobs I've been too before. The place I'm working now is the same JOB ( area anyway) that I worked on 4 years ago. Same network and same utility..
BUT I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO SCOTLAND..( the toilets were the least of the problems up there. ).
So so instead im working in an all Scottish crew in Wales.

HA... We had this knuckle head that was friends with my pal... he always invited himself on our rides. He would drag one of those campers around behind him and spend half the nite looking for a place to set up because he was too cheap to spring for a room at the motel... dam guy was nothing but a PIA
Well then put a hitch n the Guzzi.
