We barb wire our poles to stop people climbing them..

looks ps like they have been doing it for a few years.. Found a few old poles with these hand made anti climbers on.
Looks like they were made by a blacksmith

gona try and get one off intact .. Might send it to OLD LINE DOG.

MAKE A NICE COLLAR. plus as he's never seen many anti climbers he might like to have one. ;)

I cant see that anti-climber being used in the States....It would be a lawyers dream come true.

I've seen anti climb guards used on pole risers. Linemen were the only people that I've ever seen injured by one.

I can't think of anyone that uses them today. Of course my world is pretty small these days.

I can think of a couple good uses for it though....nothing I'd care to put in print.:D A lot of the old poles where I grew up had telephone spikes in them on each side....like a ladder to the telephone. They didn't start for 10 ft up the pole. THAT was suppose to keep people from climbin the poles. Uh Huh...
