Every time I log on to this board...I get some bull**** that the "board" is checking my Browser. I've tried to post 2 threads tonight....I can't post. I'm about done with this board.....

I got the same thing.

John (tech guy) has been talking to me about the fact that we are going to have to move the web site to a dedicated server. Because of the traffic on powerlineman.com is hogging the resources of where it is now.

What you are seeing is growing pains. we will get it fixed s soon as we can.

Hey all - Last week, the powerlineman.com came under attack by some foreign internet bad guy trying to disrupt service. That, coupled with an increase in traffic (which is a great thing!), has caused some performance issues with the site. We have already taken some steps to ease the pain, and are working to take more to make all things flow easily again.

We are still seeing a great deal of abuse traffic from hackers and had to turn some additional firewall settings on the help ease the load on the server. It is likely that site visitors have seen the "Verifying Browser" message again. Some users may have received a challenge to respond with a code when posting - keep in mind, if you see this, you only have to put what you see in the image into the required field. IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO LEAVE A MESSAGE, but feel free to if you want to.

I will be looking at trying different firewall settings to see if I can get some relief from these attacks, while easing access to the site for all other.
