Got a e-mail at 4:30pm and a automated phone call at 5:00pm from the power company saying they were expecting blizzard possible outages and to prepare for the worst. I would have felt much better if they had said we're opening the five service centers we closed last year and we've hired more permanent lineworkers.

Get used to it,that happened here a long long time ago .It gets much worse.Dont expect them to hire more cause the reason they closed the other five centers is that they want less....simple .

Kind of looks like the guys in the N.E. have lost their power. That or too busy shoveling snow.I saw on television how everything was gone from the shelves in the stores.People waiting in line for long periods, only to find empty shelves.I just couldnt live that way, they have too many storms up there.

Turns out it wasn't all that big of a deal. Only about 6 or 8 inches of snow. Not 3 feet! Even the weather dude is apologizing for the bad call. We should have instant replay when they tell us one thing and something else happens. I was worrying about Ludwig up nort der and wondering how bad he got socked in. Oh well it's better it turned out like this.

Yea I agree,NYC dodged the bullet but Boston got hit harder. In the 70s here...nice and sunny....until this weekend .Here 6 to 8 inches is a very big deal ....unheard of actually.I hear the Island of Nantucket is without power.....guess they have underground lines feeding it huh? http://www.aol.com/article/2015/01/27/millions-hunker-down-as-northeast-storm-totals-downgraded/21135309/
