Hey T....I figure you get bad weather and all but not as bad as the folks east of you near the coastal areas,this year has not treated them well at all.I really feel for those folks,and usually wouldnt.They cant catch a break,and theres not a break in sight .So tell me....when is enough ....well enough.When does a person throw in the towel and move elsewhere.That has to get old.....year after year,decade after decade.Its not like people are getting younger and shoveling snow must get old.So your the expert in this area.Tell us Southern folks why you guys put up with all the storms that hit that area...........year after year:(

Not sure I can give you an answer you would understand. One thing I do know, the population is greater in these areas so either people stick around for the weather or they make love more with nothing else to do while their holed up, making the population increase. For me, I know not every winter will be a harsh one and the summers are not always perfect but I like sticking around just to see what it will be like next season. I can always say no matter how bad it gets, someone somewhere else has got it worse than I do. We have cold right now, not as cold as last week. We have snow, but I haven't shoveled as much as Lood for instance this year. Not to say I wont get my turn in the barrel. I can say I spend less on athletic shoes and more on insulated boots. And a tough winter just makes spring, summer and fall a more beautiful time. Like they say "if you don't like the weather up here, wait a few minutes it will change".

I actually do understand,well said T.Now ,let me reply in a way that you may not understand.Here where me and Poot live,you would be lucky to see 2 inches of snow in a period of ten years,its not common.Two hundred miles north ,like in Dallas you have a better chance.In the Panhandle they get plenty of snow......Now comes the interesting part.....I have never seen anyone shovel snow in this area,they let it melt.Sure the Home Depot may have some on their shelves.....but they surely dont move/sell..not for snow anyway.People here may buy a snow shovel,but it has more of a chance being used to pick up dog poop than snow.So its no wonder that we just dont ski..........or ride sleighs .........although Poot might .....no telling about what he does.:nightmare:

My wife is from Indiana and when it snows down there I'm the only one going to the store for groceries, they all hole up till it melts, the whole place is mine till the snow is gone. . . .kinda neat for me.

Ive noticed lbr hasnt posted in days....lood even longer.So yea...I know they have their hands full and have a story or two to share.I only wish them the best of luck and hope everything is well with both.
