I shoot NRA Highpower competetion with a AR 15 Service rifle. 200/300/600 (tel:200/300/600) yd iron sights. My favorite competition to shoot are the CMP John C. Garand matches every other month from April thru October. The m1 is a great rifle and I love shooting it. I had 2 uncles that humped M1s through the pacific island hopping campaign, one didn't return...... Kia in the philipines. I compete with the M1 to honor all those great men who humped those rifles in the pacific and throughout Europe.

i have a few pistols but don't shoot them often, I concentrate on my rifles..... And I have a lot of them......😊

That's a most excellant Pistol Poot. I've shot it at my range. Hardly any recoil for a Big .45. Ya really ought to take it out more often and shoot in the 20 ft. range. You might be surprised how good you do shoot.

I remember you do a lot of competition Long guns Labor. 600 yards with an AR 15, and Iron sites? That is really impressive. #1, I don't have a range where I can shoot 300 Yards, let alone 600 yards!!! You're really Lucky. #2 If It was a man size target, I might be able to almost see it at 600 yards, but with Iron sites...I'm sure it would be Perfectly safe down there at 600 Yards. :-) :-)

"I compete with the M1 to honor all those great men who humped those rifles in the pacific and throughout Europe."

Unless you've held an M1, most people wouldn't understand your "Humped those rifles" comment. Definitely quite a piece of gun.....

Not sure if this range is close to you Swamp, out to 1000 yds. Not set up for HighPower cuz there's no pits but it looks like a nice range....

Now THAT's a TARGET!!!! I'm thinkin I might be able to see that...re-iterate...."Might". Definitely with my 3-9 scope!

Also, thanks for the info on that range. It's a good couple hours drive, but I'll just incorporate it in one of my drives down to Naples. It's just east of Tampa.

What's not to like about guns? I've been around them all my life. I've got a few places on state land I can still shoot despite of the knuckleheads that shoot up everything in sight and leave their trash. Good times!:D

WAS Gonna start sneakin a few bucks here and there, and save up for that New Glock 43 Single Stack 9mm, Glock is comin out with here in a few months. But I thought..."Duh, the Glock 26, "Baby Glock is a double stack 9mm". Instead of 6 + 1, with the 43, it will be 10 + 1 with the 26. So now I'm savin for the G26. It's for my wife on the other side of the bed. If I ever need to grab mine she can roll out and grab hers too. That's assuming she gets over me spendin 500 bucks on a pistol for her that she don't probably want. Oh fcuking well.....:)

I know she loves you OLD. . . . but to spend $500. bucks on something for her, she may not want and it could be dangerous for your health in her hands (she may be trained to use it, however we re talking a possible angry woman. . .the lamp on her side is a weapon) Not sure I'd test those waters. . .LOL She could have a bad dream and there you are snoring away. . . .Not good. . .:D

The MP Shield, in 9mm is a Very popular CC piece. It's 9mm. 6+1. The Glock 26, also in 9mm, and about the same size, is 10 + 1, 9mm. Be "PROUD" Dad!!!:D:D:D
