I am down sizing to 3 bed room, 2 bath home, and paid cash. Linework is booming, and union is growing. Thanks to the Affordable Health Care Act of 2009, my Chemo cost for my employer and myself, (mostly employer) went from $2,300 every 8-weeks in 2010 to over $13,000 every 8-weeks by 2013. By contrast, it started at $1,800 in 2005 rising to $2,300 by 2010. Should I be off work for any length of time, this increase in health care cost would burn through my savings extremely fast. This one act alone is costing us millions. So freeloaders who just crossed the border, over flew over from some other country, can have it for little to no cost. The brand name is REMICADE.
