I have been contacted by a guy in the uk . Apparently they are looking for 60 linemen to relocate to the states. I've a phone interview next week .
QUESTION....why would they be looking for uk linemen ?

I am supposed to be called from Miami .. I'm one of six people to go as a supervisor / foreman. They rang 4 last week and ringing me and another guy next week.
Looking to relocate guys to Ohio " I think..."
Anyway. We shall see .
Any input from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

Might not be Miami . They might be an agency based in Miami.

It's probably a headhunter outfit that is doing the hiring. I want to know The Company he's hiring for and the location of the job. It sounds like a Foreman Job, probably a working foreman. As for Miami...do you speak spanish Bren?

Florida, particularly FPL, has posted so many jobs lately it's getting to be spam. They lure you in with a search location a 1000 miles away then once you read the advertisement it ends with THIS POSITION MAY BE FILLED ANYWHERE WITHIN FPL'S SERVICE TERRITORY IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA AND FOR ANY SHIFT (all caps...that wasn't my exaggeration).


Guess they really need guys.

Up in the Northeast there is a lot of work going on... FEMA Funded, From Hurricane Sandy. We have many travelers in this area now which could be leading to shortages in places like Ohio.The FEMA work is expected to last at least 3 years... Lot of OT.
