It has been along time since I posted here.

I have two neck fusions, C2 toC7-T1, I have had 6 back surgery’s, 2 pain stimulators installed one for my back, one for my neck, I have to charge them for a hour a day. A left torn labrum and one right elbow surgery.

since I am not a lineman anymore I will stay out of the other threads so I will stay here in the bs section.

so if anybody wants to bullshit it would be good to hear from guys.

It sounds like you have had quite a time with medical issues. I hope these didn't happen on the job. If they did it would be helpful to others to hear the circumstances. I hope you get some relief. Hang in there.

All work related, any advice I can Give is ask for help when things are heavy blown discs don’t heal they just keep herniating. I have 2 daughters that have both 2 back surgeries apiece so it might be bad genetics. But the last disc surgery made my leg go numb from the knee down and my other foot numb. I fall a lot.

it is a young man’s trade but you pay the price when your older.

i don’t mean to sound like a baby but I made my own choice and am paying for it..

edit….. I fumbled with the forum and logging in for the first time in 10 years let alone on a phone now… I ended up finding the search feature and stumbled upon the post about Poot’s passing… I don’t o ow if I’ve got it in me to search anymore names from my memory tonight. Good to see you still kicking, hate that the back/neck problems persisted to the point of taking you out of the game, but you are right it is a young man's game, I retired 2 years ago and bought a skid steer and started a little business working for myself, keep a few cows and do hay here on my farm to keep from rusting up, you are also spot on about opiates and addiction, I've have friends that deal with it, but we are still here that's more than some can say, hang in there.

Hey Charlie, Good to hear from you, brother glad all is well. I should’ve followed your advice about 10 years ago to go to that laser spine surgeries. All these doctors did was keep screwing up my back And Neck. Glad to hear you’re your own boss now so you don’t have to put up with all the bullshit that went along with this trade anyway I don’t see a lot of the old guys that used to post here maybe they’re living the good life. Hope to stay in touch with you like I said it was good hearing from you.
