Here's a picture of a three phase regulator bank I built and phased in last month.

Pretty good, working alone like that. PS, doing all that grunting and running up and down the pole must have been rather tiring. dbrown20

Yea... It looked kinda busy in that shot. Had to keep the old bank in and working while I built the new one. here's another picture of the same pole

We never put 3 regs on the same pole. 3 poles in a row. Much safer.

but not all areas have the room to hang 3 regulators on 3 seperate poles. Some areas are so congested that if a customer needs three phase delta you have to hang the pots 3 poles down and run 2 sections of secondary, but I see your point just never seen it before.

I don't guess I've ever seen them like that. We do two straight line poles and have a platform bolted between them that the three regulators sit on. Sometimes there is a third pole that goes under the platform. Here lately they have been getting switches that can bypass or open and close the regulator on the same unit which makes it nice to not have to put three knife blades to each regulator.

Looks like a pretty decent job. I think I'd have to invert the braces like on a breaker pole.
