my wife and i will be seeing her son off to basic training shortly and it is my prayer that we never have to face what many families have faced in this documentary.
get the tissues out and prepared to be brought to your knees in grattitude at these fine young men who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom and the freedom of those in other lands.

There is no greater thing your son could do than to join the military. It is one of the most selfless acts any man or woman can do to give up their time and somtimes (however unfortunate it is ) their lives to defend the freedoms most of us take for granted. I myself did 4 years in the Australian army and it was the most rewarding thing i have ever done. The only thing i regret is getting out of the military and not being there to suport our allies over sea's at the moment.May the good graces of God go with your son may he watch over him and protect him may he give him the courage to be the man he is and i am sure he will not only make your country proud but both you and his mother. :)

Brother, as much as I believe this whole thing is a grab for oil, I strongly support the soldiers in their effort in the war.
Good luck to your son and godspeed!
p.s.....remind him not to volunteer for anything!

You Know When This Whole Thing Started In Iraq I Really Didnt Think That The Young Generation Would Step Up To The Plate And Take A Turn At Defending Freedom For Us And Other Countries.
I Really Thought That We As A Nation Had Lost That Spirit Never To See It Again, Man Was I Off Base. I Am So Proud Of The Young Kids Who Sign Up Knowing That They Are Putting There Very Life On The Line.
God Bless Every One Who Is Serving This Nation In The Armed Forces It Makes Me Proud To Be An American.

Can I be mister cold reality here and say that I think the war is manufactured for profit and while I admire the proud young Americans who feel they are fighting for their country, it just fills me with dread when I see the figures.....
I really hope your boy returns safely and wiser for the experience.
I also hope that one day the world wakes up and charges Bush and Blair with comitting genocide.

I would like to Thank your son for joing the U.S Military. I myself returned home safely after serving 1 year overseas in the Army Reserve. I served 12 years and I would not have been where I am today without the training that I have recieved. I am not going to start talking politics as should noone on this site especially this thread. This should be a proud time for your son and your family. May he return home safely and God Bless The USA
