HOUSTON - Former Enron Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Skilling, the most vilified figure from the financial scandal of the decade, was sentenced Monday to 24 years and four months in the harshest sentence yet in the case that arose from the energy trading giant’s collapse.

Take that you bastard.

"Skilling’s remaining assets, about $60 million, will be liquidated.

About $45 million will be put in a restitution fund for victims. The remaining $15 million will go to Skilling’s legal fees, said Lynn Sark, attorney for the Enron Corp. Savings Plan and Stock Ownership Plan."

Take that you bastard!

I don't think Skilling will do anywhere near that kind of time. He'll appeal it till the end of time! Also those big money men don't keep all thier assets above board. I bet he's got millions hidden too!

He’s 52 years old, financially ruined and will go to jail. Maybe not for the whole 24 years. He ain’t no Martha Stuart and he won’t do his time gracefully and he doesn’t have a career to come out to.

Presently he owes his legal beagles $30 million.

Too bad Lay didn’t survive for his sentencing.

I was told there was no parole in Federal prison cases. Is that so? dbrown20

Wasn’t Martha Stewart in Federal Prison for insider trading?

She was sentenced to five months in prison and two years' probation and served it all. You may be right.
