A bunch of Rural Electrics from South Dakota sent crews to western Nebraska. Heard they were hit real hard. Sounded like they wanted them for a couple more weeks.

I heared Kansass got it worse mostly just snow here they got ice and alot of it my brother went through last week and had hell even gettin gas untill Wakheenie I aint sure how long but I hear it aint nothin nice

Your Right About The Photos.that Some Of The Best I Seen In Along Time.
You Got To Feel For Those Lineman Up There.they Have Some Super Hard Work In Front Of Them.

Freak blizzards in the winter and horrifying thunderstorms in the summer....damn good pictures on the NPPD site, thanks for posting that PT.


I wonder how hard it is to repair a transmission structure with bundled cables...

its a royal pain we did a job in delaware that had 230 bundled over 115 single. tornado came through and sucked off a garage door which got wraped inbetween the two decks, must have been a hell of a lightshow. in the middle of the swamp over course...the worst part was matting the equipment in to replace half a span

Reminds me of the same thing we had here few years back. over 250 towers down. When a tower goes down the weight shifts to the one next to it and it creates a domino effect. Those boys are in for a long haul. It will take months to fix all that. We were still finding junk wire in the swamps a year later.
