Awsome vid kind of like some one going off the road. Spans can be 2 to 3 hundred feet apart and they find the poles.

That happened at Firebird raceway in Phoenix AZ in the mid to early 80s.I was to young to know so I ask but didn't find out the drivers name. The guy bailed out before it hit the power line and live to build anther boat called high line express.

driver of the boat was Sonny Moon from West Monroe Louisiana.
Kinda run outa lake I guess. I think I'd have gone to the eye doctor before I drove another boat.

Holy Shit! I wonder how many volts that line is carrying, either way the boater probably severly hurt himself...all I can say about the injuries is "damn, that sucks"....

The driver was not in the boat when it hit the power lines. You cant see him when he bailed out. Reason for the crash was the throttle stuck at wide open throttle and in blown alcohol motors some time just a kill switch wont work. Know most alcohol boat take a fuel shot off also.
