Burndy wejtap hotstick adapter

Anybody else out there having problems with Burndy's wejtap adapter falling off when stricking it with the hammer? This would be the peace that snaps on to the end of the tool so you can tighten it with a shotgun. Sometimes while tightening with the shotgun, it will actually pry it off.
If somebody has a remedy or a fix, I'd like to here about it. I'm not sure if Burndy has addressed this problem, as we tried three different tools and they all had the same basic problem.

the burndy guns we use have a cocking lever that you hit. Nothing there to fall off.

Ive never heard of that happening! I would contact Burndy directly and inquire. I have dealt with them before and they handled it right away, very good customer service! In fact, its alot better customer service then I had with AMPAC.
