There's another technique that involves applying light rotational pressure on the barrel and "jiggling" the lock pins either with a clicker:-

Or more effectively with a vibrating pick:-

The clicking or vibration makes the pins jump up and down and the rotational pressure means they "latch" against their open position until they're all lined up and the lock is opened.

That one shows in intimate detail how to make a bump key and how it works.

The key is ground down quite low and wherever there was a pin operating ramp there is a little hump. When the key is inserted then pulled back slightly and knocked back in sharply with a hammer, the bumps fire all the pins up with the transfer of kinetic force. If slight rotational pressure is put on the key at the same time then the pins will most likely stop in their gate position and the lock will open. Simple. TOO simple!

And no gun required. :)

Yeah. The right to bear arms..... another right.

I had a long post here about my life with guns and how my brothers were taught to use them. But, I lost it. So, I'm cutting this brief.

I get so dag gum tired of hearing those belittle those of us that have guns. The other night we get a phone call at 8:45pm and I told the boss not to bother answering it because all it is at this time of night is solicitors trying to make the last few minutes of the day.

However, he answered it and talked a good bit. I heard his side of the conversation and he said, "Yeah, I'm interested. You have my number. Do you have my address?" A pause. And then he says, "Yes, send me that information."

When he hangs up, I ask who was that. He says, "The NRA dear. Never thought much about them until the government wants to take the right to bear arms away from us."

I'm not really all into guns. Sure, I know how to use one....well the OLD ones! Heh, I'm old school. But, I think it's been almost ten years since I fired one to tell you the truth. And the boss goes hunting maybe once or twice a year now. But, it's the idea folks. It's the idea of another right being taken away from us.

Ask a military man if he wants those rights taken away and see what kind of reaction you get. War is never a good thing. I wish we weren't over there. I REALLY DO. I wish the vietnam never was. There is always a great loss in every war. There will always be Presidents that make tough decisions. And there will always be secrets in the government.

Personally, "they" are all in sheeps clothing. We, as citizens, just have to pick out the one that best fits our issues. And if they stay in office for two terms, we are bound to have more issues.
