I believe that Carharts are much more durable longterm, but they are a bit more expensive. I guess its true that you get what you pay for. Personally, I go with Carharts.

Wha..?? Oh Work wear!

Company issued Fr shirt and Livi's.

'Course this is S. Fla, If I wanted to know about cold weather wear I'd move (NOT!)

These two venders are not the only game in town, I am sure you can get a better deal elsewhere....

Like EH boots! What a ripoff from big vendors!! I can be in a comfy pair from wallmart for about 30 bucks.

I just actually bought some Pointer Brand denim overalls for myself and some friends who are mechanical engineers.

Dickies is currently a prominent brand of workwear in the UK, but it's just mass produced Chinese polycotton coveralls with a Dickies badge on them.

I think there's still an element of people thinking that all gays have high pitched voices and mince about in pink frocks. In reality you could have worked alongside one for most of your life and be none the wiser. The only clue might be their lack of a girlfriend or wife, and even that doesn't mean anything given how many men are choosing a single life now anyway.

So to summarise. Wearing Dickies will cause your colon to tear causing faeces and other things to mix and spread AIDS, and the boy scouts will be defunded.

Classic Dickies as gay-wear is still a rather sweeping comment. Here in the UK some heavy marketing of the Dickies logo means that about 80% of workwear on construction sites tends to be Dickies boilersuits. I'm not sure they're all gay, but you could always come over and ask them.

Then again. Priests? Choirboys? Didn't the church invent homosexuality? ;)

How is religion in general in the USA these days? Here in the UK the younger generation have kinda given up on church. I reckon this is because young people aren't scared of death any more and religion used to be sold on the false promise of eternal life.

I like the American workwear a lot. It's got a much more generous cut to it and is made of heavier fabric. Our bib & brace overalls don't tend to have the high back and generally have a narrower bib. They also tend to have a very narrow leg. The main type of workwear here in Scotland is the boilersuit which is what you would call a coverall in the USA.

The Australian stuff isn't too bad either. I brought a few bits of workwear back with me. My favourite is their sleeveless coverall. Like a lot of the Australian stuff it seems to be a UK/USA hybrid that combines the styles of both countries.
