View Full Version : Lineman leaving Centerpoint Energy???
Heard from a buddy that Centerpoint Energy is losing lineman (most with 6yrs-and a few with over 20yrs)to other utilities in the Houston/Beaumont/Austin areas. You would think that a company that size would try to hang on to their employees that they have put thousands of dollars into training and make what ever changes are nessary to keep them on board? I believe a story was printed in a national newspaper about the decline in work force and the difficulty in finding highly trained and qualified lineman through out the country...Whats up with this way of thinking..

If you are smart... you will let them pay for your training and then give Trail Boss a call. Ask any of the old timers on the dock... CenterPoint no longer values their employees... They will blow smoke up your arse...use you up and kick you to the curb.
heard another Lineman this week took the high road and went else where for work and left after 10 yrs with CNP...sounds like mangement isn't getting the message?
