not sure of your technique, but when raising your arms to step up further try not letting them go any higher then your shoulder, right foot-right arm, left foot-left arm.

Sounds to me like maybe you are using your arms too much and not your legs. You never said if you free hand or hitch hike. The app. I have on the crew started out hanging on to the pole with his arms he had the same problem. He started to get more comfortable and using his legs and climbed more relaxed.

Wrist Curls, low weight and high reps.

Use a 1 to 3lb dumbell curl up about 30 times for a few sets and flip ur arms over and go the other direction a few. Cures that elbow-itis too which if you dont have yet you will - if ya dont stop grippin that pole so hard. :D

Once you learn to relax your nerves while climbing, it wont wear you out so bad. Right now, you are just working too hard at climbing, once you get comfortable in your hooks, and learn to trust your tools, you will find climbing more comfortable.

Wait till you have to go tot the Buck squeeze; this demands more on the forearms than any climbing we have ever done

I Remember when the First Week I was Being Trained on the Bucksqueeze,
my forearms were pretty sore, the Whole Class Smelled like an Icy/Hot Factory!

Dude, linework is a workout.

'pends on what you usually do.

when I started, I was a soft 17 year old packin steel on a tower assembly crew in the s. georgia swamps.

In short order, I was broad of back and small of waist.

started climbing after that, upper body stayed about the same, legs got in great shape.

clipped transmission for a while, forearms got huge.

jacked bundles to sag on transmission, bicepts bulged.

foreman on a distribution crew, neck got thick from lookin up and yelling.

did troubleman work for a long time, got "extendo shoulders", 'bout busted the seam outa the work shirts.

setting recording meters on tx's n' meters now, gittin fat. (or maybe just gittin old)

Oh, by th' way, dude.

Get off that f#ckin' machine and be a lineman.

any idiot can learn to operate equipment.

It takes guts n' smarts to be a lineman!
