I agree with every word that writer put in the article down to being a proud member of the NRA.
By the way if you like the right to own guns, hunt, target shoot, or just defend yourself go ahead and join the NRA. Politicians don't listen much to individuals but they listen to 3-4 million voters, and I'd love to see the number grow to 7-8 million.
