I Seeking Info On Pressure Washing Insulators On A 13,200/22,840 Volt System While It Is Hot. I Found A Little Info In My Handbook, But I Was Wanting To Talk To Someone Who Has Actually Done It Before. Any Input On Procedures Would Be Appreciated.

Done that quite a few years back. We used a machine that worked a lot like a sandblaster, except instead of sand it blew ground up corncobs believe it or not. At least that is what I was told it was. It had fiberglass extension wands, It seemed like you grounded the trigger mechanism. We also loaded the hopper with what we were told was ground up walnut shells. The thing worked really well. I always used it out of a bucked. We cleaned insulators on everything from 12kv to 161kv with no problems.
